Additionally, they need to be aware of the importance of undertaking a risk assessment and ensuring that suitable management plans are reviewed regularly.
The training will also provide participants with practical guidelines that can be applied when managing and safely undertaking manual handling. This will also address the requirements underpinned within the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 and ensures that participants are competent in manual handling.
The training also ensures that employers adhere to the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999.
