Non Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention (NAPPI) is a method used for dealing with service users exhibiting behaviours of concern. This is done by laying emphasises on Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). The British Institute of Learning Disabilities (BILD) has accredited NAPPI as a framework for assessing, managing, and preventing problematic behaviour.
We use the NAPPI behaviour scale to find positive impacts on each person’s behaviour with the goal of lowering the amount of concern behaviour. Wherever possible, we want to decrease and eliminate the requirement for physical intervention.
